today

Photobucket

my mailbox looks a bit different than it did a week ago. To save myself the anxiety of watching it all day long, Erik went to the Post Office this morning to pick up our mail.

And it's here. Thin, white, easily lost between two catalogs.

I started to cry. And I imagine I'll shake and cry all day as I try to clean the house and make cookies, find snow boots and finish Halloween costumes. My mother heart is pounding.

6 p.m.

I'll post the news.

I really love that photo. I still stalk your blog and love it. I'm looking forward to hearing where he goes. I'd love it if he came to exotic Lubbock, Texas, because that's where we are.

I'm following this with excitement for you and trepidation for me. :o You're only a few months ahead of me and my first missionary send-off. Your posts remind me that it is closer than ever. Don't forget to breathe and enjoy the night.
